Taylor and Brett were both born in Whitehorse, Yukon to Wendy &amp; Graham (Buzz) Burgess, and Claire &amp; Terry Hills. They both attended both elementary &amp; high school in Whitehorse, crossing paths long before they ever imagined they'd end up building a life together. They knew of each other back in elementary school, and by high school they shared mutual friends.. and a few secret crushes.Life carried them in different directions after graduation. They both travelled, lived a little, and eventually found themselves back home in the Yukon. Taylor had just finished nursing school, and Brett was working the camp life, coming back into town on his days off.In January 2019, fate gave them a little nudge when they reconnected online and from that moment, everything clicked. They got together and never looked back.It was after travelling to Hawaii for a family wedding and meeting most of Brett's family, where Taylor first thought that maybe this could be a "forever" thing (the awesome family was the seller), while Brett.. obviously knew right away.Since then, life has been a beautiful rollercoaster. They survived COVID lockdowns together in a tiny space, navigated loss, welcomed their first baby, Carson, bought a home, and then were surprised with their second little love, Koa. Life has been busy, chaotic, sleep-deprived, and so full of joy. It has challenged them and tested them more than ever, which has only made them stronger, especially with the love and support from amazing family and friends.On Christmas morning in 2022, in cozy pajamas with Carson on her lap, Brett asked Taylor to marry him. The simplest and most perfect moment.Now, after years of growing, learning, and loving together, it finally feels like the right time to celebrate! They can't wait to gather with their favorite people in the world and begin this next chapter surrounded by all the love that brought them here.

Just a 45 min drive from Little Atlin Lodge, take the scenic Tagish road down to explore Carcross, Yukon on your way home on Sunday. Coffee &amp; ice cream shops, gift shops, old timey buildings, &amp; a gorgeous beach to dip your toes in or hang out for the day - Carcross is a must on the to do list when visiting the Yukon!

Just outside of Carcross on the way to Whitehorse, you'll find the "world's smallest desert" - a totally unique Yukon gem! The desert is made up of rolling sand dunes surrounded by stunning mountain views and the most gorgeous turquoise lakes nearby. Its the perfect spot for a quick adventure or photos.

Another must - see on the way home from Carcross - Emerald lake is one of the most breathtaking stops in the Yukon. Famous for its unreal blue-green water and mountain views - its the perfect place to pull over for photos, or to get out on your kayak or paddleboard and explore. Especially stunning a sunny day!

Hop on the Whitehorse trolley for a fun, easy way to explore the city (and fun for kids!). The trolley stops at Rotary Park - the perfect spot for little ones to run around and play while you enjoy beautiful river views. After, treat yourself to an ice cream, snack, or coffee at the cozy, newly renovated Riverside Grocery (aka "Auntie Sophie's Store") right across the street.

A favourite local stop in Whitehorse, Riverside Grocery is the perfect place to grab something wholesome and delicious. Also has saunas &amp; steam rooms with eucalyptus, as well as a cafe for some post - soak nourishing meals &amp; drinks.

Eclipse Nordic Hot Springs

One of Whitehorse's most iconic outdoor spots, Miles Canyon is a must - see for out of town visitors! Just minutes from downtown, you can walk across the famous suspension bridge and take in the stunning views of the turquoise Yukon River flowing through the canyon. It's an easy, beautiful hike or walk with lots of photo- worthy scenery.

For a beautiful half - day adventure, the Spirit Canyon Hike is a local favourite. This scenic trail winds through Yukon wilderness with amazing views of the river valley and surrounding mountains. It's peaceful, easy, not too far from whitehorse, and captures the true "Yukon experience" - perfect for anyone wanting a refreshing hike and some unforgettable views.
